Track Reconstruction
To test the ability to track a particle, the time signals from four anode strips have been fed into TDCs. If the four signals are caused by the same event, a chain of four signals is expected, with the extracted times increasing or decreasing, depending on the angle of the particle's trajectory with respect to the GEM plane. The figure shows several measured tracks reconstructed in that manner. The time resolution allows a reconstruction of the tracks with a precision of less than a millimeter.
